best festival in the world...ever!

Just over a week to go until my favourite weekend of the year... This will be the fifth greenman and my fourth - and i can't wait! The GMF is the idea of jo & danny, two amazing people i worked with at Our Price Records in the late 80's..

they went on to run the legendary Buzz club in Aldershot (pictured here), putting on bands such as A Certain Ratio, blur, happy mondays, primal scream... and my best ever gig THE STONE ROSES.. I remember john squire asking me if i knew of any Es for sale...i asked him what an E was??!! Ha!

anyway..they went on to run the yellow book club , where indie met acid house in covent garden. i used to travel up from Guildford (seen here looking slightly wounded in about 1974) with my mates and dive straight in... I don't know how many weekends I lost there... gawd!

after working in few record companies and forming a few bands they decided to uproot and move to herefordshire ...they got married here..and i went with this joker

more cats..

you can never quite grasp the element of speed in photographs can you..this set of wheels is actually a lot slower than it looks
